ITM Holding Signs Memorandum of Cooperation with Centum Investment Company

ITM Holding SASU (ITM) has officially signed a Memorandum of Cooperation (MOC) with Centum Investment Company, one of East Africa’s premier investment firms. This partnership will be beneficial for ITM, enabling the pan-African conglomerate to enter Kenya’s fast-growing Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) sector.

At the same time, it will facilitate Centum’s planned expansion into Francophone Africa, leveraging both companies’ strengths to fuel growth and innovation across the region.

ITM, which operates in 18 countries with a workforce of over 15,000 employees, brings extensive expertise in various sectors, including mining, logistics, financial services, and human resources. The collaboration between ITM and Centum is expected to amplify their regional influence, enhancing their footprint across the African continent while driving sustainable growth.

A key component of the agreement is the relocation of ITM’s HR operations to Centum’s TRIFIC Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Nairobi. ITM will support businesses in the SEZ by offering a range of human resource services, including staff management, recruitment, onboarding, training, and compliance with local labor regulations.

Additionally, ITM plans to launch several strategic initiatives aimed at equipping professionals within the SEZ with the skills needed to excel in BPO, Global Business Services (GBS), and other high-value service industries. This includes establishing language training and industry-specific skills development programs and making available skilled professionals proficient in multiple languages, such as French, Portuguese, German, and English, from different regions across Africa.

Dr. James Mworia, CEO of Centum Investment Company PLC, echoed this sentiment: “We are excited about the possibilities this partnership presents, as it aligns with our vision to expand Centum’s presence in Africa while unlocking new opportunities across key sectors.”
